IECC TWO-GAME MATCHES:
(Email: iecc-2game@egroups.com)
TD: Michael Dunn <leander@ihug.co.nz>
TD: Charles Ventimiglia <chtuna@att.net>
TD: Jim Athens <jama@isd.net>
- Each match : 2 games, 1 as white, and 1 as black.
- Assignment : Opponents within 200 rating points.
- You can have as many matches as you ask for!
- These games must be played concurrently. Failure to do so
will be in violation of IECC Guidelines.

IECC TRIOS:
(Email: iecc-trios@egroups.com)
TD: Tina Stanton <tatyana@nbnet.nb.ca>
ASST TD: Rick Stein <shultz@net.bluemoon.net>
To request a match, send an email to iecc-trios@egroups.com
and include
your full name, email address, country and rating (if known).
3 players. Double round robin.
You play two-game matches against two players who also
play each other. You will play four games in that Trio.
These games must be played concurrently. Failure to do so
will be in violation of IECC Guidelines.
We can also put you in a Quad, if you prefer --- and if
enough opponents are available.
You may play in as many Trios as you wish.
All players USUALLY within 200 rating points of each other.
Pace: 10 moves in 30 days -- but faster is better!
********************************************
IECC THEMATIC CHALLENGES:
iecc-thematics@egroups.com
This is a great way to explore openings you want to try
Both players play a game with White and a game with
Black in the same Thematic opening challenge.
If you choose - for example - Sicilian Dragon
1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 g6 6. ?
The White player adds his/her move 6 as game 1. For
game 2, White waits for Black's move (as White).
WE WILL ATTEMPT TO ASSIGN OPPONENTS WITHIN A 400
POINT RATING DIFFERENTIAL. THE TD MAY USE HIS DISCRTION
AND ASSIGN OPPONENTS WHOSE RATING DIFERENTIAL IS BETWEEN
400 AND 500 POINTS. HOWEVER, IF THE OPPONENTS AGREE,
THE TD WILL ASSIGN OPPONENTS WITH LARGE RATING DIFFERENTIAL
(ABOVE 500 POINTS).
Thematic 2-game matches Sign Up and Game Reports:
iecc-thematics@egroups.com
Abbreviated rules:
1. MEMBERS WITH UNEXPLAINED FORFEITS ON THEIR RECORD
WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ENTRY INTO FUTURE THEMATICS EVENTS
2. Each player in a Thematic Challenge plays two
rated games; one as White, one as Black.
3. All Thematic two game matches are open events.
4. Pace to be agreed between players - default is
Snoozer.
5. Check IECC Bulletins/Guidelines for detailed rules.
6. In the event that 3 players sign up at once the
TD reserve the right to change the 2 game matches to a Trio.

IECC FischerRandom Matches:
TD: Tim Nagley
Tim is currently absent for a period and Kyle Evans has kindly
offered to stand in as Temporary TD.
All requests for FR matches should be sent to:
<iecc-fr@egroups.com>
The FischerRandom web pages are at:
http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Midfield/1264/
FischerRandom is a variant of chess in which the starting position
of the pieces behind the pawns is generated randomly before each game.
The game then proceeds as in normal chess (castling is a little
different). Players do not benefit from memorizing book openings
-- every game requires strategy from the first move!
IECC FischerRandom matches are 2-game matches, each player playing
White on one of the two boards, with the same starting set up on
both boards. FR ratings are separately maintained from the standard
IECC rating.
Contact iecc-fr@egroups.com to sign up -- you
will be paired up with a player
of similar rating and your starting position will be generated for you.
